The crystal oscillator is widely used as a frequency selective passive component in communications related industries because of excellent characteristics, such as temperature stability and a low loss. A crystal oscillator consists mainly of a quartz crystal and an IC that controls the oscillation circuits, and is applied to high precision communications products, requiring high frequency accuracy. A crystal oscillator with an output frequency that deviates or is unstable will seriously degrade the quality and functionality of an expensive communications product. This present research investigates the crystal oscillator manufacturing processes, developing risk priority number analysis specifically for critical-to-quality processes and identifying the optimum priority for improvements in the process quality. Using Taguchi experimental design techniques the optimal parameter design is determined for quality characteristics and a mathematic programming method establishes an objective mode for monitoring quality. Lastly, the present research uses a real case to verify the modes proposed in this project, to enhance customer satisfaction, and produce crystal oscillators with a competitive advantage. 2010 Elsevier Ltd. Optimization of Ankle-Foot Prosthesis with Active Alignment by Passive Elements
Today, often ankle’s active prosthesis is used for transtibial amputated people’s walking, because these prostheses have some advantages such as increasing power and decreasing metabolism. In most of active prosthesis in order to create a movement or increase the force at the push-off, electrical actuators are used like a motor. In cases where a higher-power motor is necessary, the capacity, we...

A fresh look at the system analysis helped us in finding a new way of calculating the risks associated with the system. The author found that, due to the shortcomings of RPN, more researches needed to be done in this area to use RPNs as a new source of information for system risk analysis. It is the purpose of this article to investigate the fundamental concepts of failure modes and effects ana...

متن کاملFailure Mode and Effects Analysis Using Generalized Mixture Operators
Failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) is a method based on teamwork to identify potential failures and problems in a system, design, process and service in order to remove them. The important part of this method is determining the risk priorities of failure modes using the risk priority number (RPN). However, this traditional RPN method has several shortcomings. Therefore, in this paper we p...
